ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our fast-paced warehouse operations, supporting multiple retail and food & beverage outlets across campus. Working closely with the wider Operations team, you will coordinate purchasing, goods inwards, stock control and dispatch, while managing a small team. You’ll take ownership of our inventory systems and ensure stock is managed accurately, efficiently and safely across locations, as well as receiving and distributing orders from the ecommerce store.

You will be playing an integral role by assisting our operations to run smoothly.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage the warehouse and the purchasing function
- Rostering and resource allocation to meet demands
- Accurate inventory control, including maintain levels of critical stock
- Identifying issues through regular stocktakes and effective shrinkage control
- Team development and delegation through effective communication and coaching
- Managing logistics requirements and deliveries to our sites
- Managing HACCP and food safety requirements
- Manage internal and external client relationships
- Operation of the USU ecommerce store
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Highly organised, high attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Intermediate computer literacy and experience with MS Office Suite – particularly Word and Excel
- Experience in using inventory management programs (e.g. BePoz)
- Able to manoeuvre up to 25 kgs
- Full Provisional NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current Forklift license
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Background in Retail and/or Food & Beverage industry or environment
- Knowledge of and commitment to HACCP and Work Health and Safety Regulations
HOURS OF WORK
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday - may include some weekends and nights as dictated by business requirements. No public holidays, two weeks shut down between Christmas and New Year.
THE PAY
$75,000 per annum + 12.5% Superannuation
