You will be playing an integral role by assisting our operations to run smoothly.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Outlet Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the USYD Store Holme outlet. You will supervise staff during shifts, support retail operations and help ensure the outlet delivers strong service, presentation and sales performance.
Your leadership style is hands-on, supportive and organised, with a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:

- Supervising daily outlet operations and ensuring smooth service delivery
- Leading by example to deliver exceptional customer service
- Coaching and supporting team members to maintain strong service and product knowledge
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and staff training
- Monitoring stock levels, merchandising and outlet presentation
- Supporting promotional campaigns and retail events
- Managing POS systems, stocktakes and inventory processes
- Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Resolving customer issues through effective service recovery
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety, cash handling and USU operational policies
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
- Experience working with POS systems and retail technology
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Tertiary qualifications in hospitality, retail or business
- Experience with stock ordering and inventory management
- Knowledge of WHS and workplace legislation
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Current driver’s licence
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Understanding of the USU and its role within the University community
- Experience in graduations
